Scars Under The Ink is the pseudonym of Symone from Ashton Ink, who has dedicated part of her practice to helping people transform their scars through free monthly cover-up tattoos. These aren’t just about aesthetics, they’re about reclaiming confidence, rewriting narratives, and turning battle scars into body armour.

Earlier this month, Manchester played host to something special — the very first Mancunia Tattoo Convention. Artists, traders, and tattoo enthusiasts came together at the Wythenshawe Forum for a weekend packed with creativity, buzzing energy, and, of course, some incredible ink.
