Monika | Tattoo Artist Introduction

I’ve always wanted to create art on skin, but my mental health challenges and not knowing I was neurodivergent made the journey much slower. After my first tattoo, I took tiny steps – learning, practising, and slowly building up my confidence.

I never had a classic apprenticeship. I’m mostly self-taught, but along the way I met Symone, who gave me so much support and space to grow. Thanks to her guidance, I was able to gain the experience I needed over the years. The whole process of building my confidence in tattooing took a long time, but now I’m proud to tattoo people with full certainly at Ashton Ink.

My Tattoo Style & Artistic Focus

I specialise in fineline, dotwork, abstract compositions, and illustrative designs. I love botanical and nature-inspired pieces, feminine designs, and darker, melancholic, witchy vibes. My work is deeply shaped by my emotions and experiences.

Outside tattooing, I create traditional illustrations, watercolours, acrylic paintings. I’ve also had phases of making macrame and linocuts. I just love working with my hands, crafting, cutting, and getting messy. Creating is simply a huge part of who I am. My best work happens when clients fully trust me with their ideas, allowing my creativity to flow and create something truly unique.

Availability & Bookings

I always open books a month in advance and I keep you updated about my current availability.
I work only in regular days between Mon-Fri, 10am – 4pm. Bookings are done after paying deposit via the Venue app. Sometimes walk-ins are available. You can always contact me on IG @monammoss or WhatsApp 07873481031.

A Little About Me

When I’m not drawing or creating projects, most of my life is spent being a mum and juggling a million things at once. I often come up with a new idea or hobby that absorbs me 100% for a month, only to then completely forget about it. I’m an ex-plantaholic – there was a time I had nearly 200 plants squeezed into my little flat. I’ve recovered (kind of), but I’m always happy to share what I’ve learned along the way. I’m also a huge cat lover with a dark and weird sense of humour.
